Retailing for $599, Apple’s latest introduction to their immensely popular line of cellular devices is intended only for the most devout Mac fan. For the faithful, the new smartphone promises improved performance, vastly superior display technology and is available in a wide array of colors. While the success of the new device is virtually assured, due to the seemingly limitless resources of the truly dedicated Mac fan, there is one hurdle to be overcome: the iPhone 3GI can only be seen by the hippest, most devoted Mac enthusiasts. Early sales of the phone seem to indicate, however, that even that hurdle isn’t insurmountable for the unstoppable communications juggernaut.
