Body Wrap, one of the largest shapewear manufacturers in the world, has just launched their first, direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce website… or rather, Brand Labs did it for them.

As newbies to the whole eCommerce thing, Body Wrap faced a couple of challenges.  First, they’re Canadian.  Now that’s not a problem, per se, but it does mean that they have to concern themselves with their French-speaking countrymen (or countrywomen) and if they want to sell to their southern neighbors (namely, us) they’d have to deal with a couple of different currencies.

In the end, we developed a solution involving parallel stores and both sites have been up and running for a while now – each one an entirely new revenue stream for a company that prior to this had never dabbled in DTC sales.  We’re seeing more and more manufacturers looking for ways to sell directly to their end users.  Luckily, with our experience in both manufacturing and eCommerce, we’re more than prepared to help even the most gun-shy manufacturers move into the world of online sales painlessly.

As the sugar buzz from Halloween slowly wears off, (yes – we know it’s been almost two weeks, but we ate a lot of candy) we’ve begun to regain our senses and have since discovered that we’ve had a few sites go live in the interim.  Let’s start catching up right now…

Some time ago, we posted about how Acure Organics was doing their level best to give us type 2 diabetes to thank us for the work we’d begun on their project.  Well, since that time, their new Volusion site has launched and it would be fair to say they’re pleased with our work.  How do we know that for sure?  Well, we’ll let them do the talking.  Directly from the organic horse’s mouth comes this quote:

In what is quickly becoming a trend (one that we’d like to encourage), Acure Organics (soon to be at acureorganics.com) has thanked us for their impending website in the best way possible: with baked goods.

Acure will soon (very soon) launch the new Volusion site for their own brand of organic body products.  Not only are the products and packaging environmentally friendly, but a portion of their profits will be donated to promote breast cancer research and awareness.  It’s a noble cause to be sure and if that weren’t proof enough that these are some very nice people, there’s this note that came with the cookies:
