FIRST...THE EASY PART DOWNLOAD & INSTALLATION
Mac OS X v.10.4 (or later) is required. Safari users, simply click the download link. When the download is complete, the widget installer will launch. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. If you're using a browser other than Safari, when the download is complete, unarchive the file and double click on the installer. NEXT... THE TRICKY PART
The one element of the widget that may cause some confusion is the encrypted password. This is not your Volusion password, nor is it any of your other regularly used passwords. It is a long, randomly-generated string that may be found by following these steps:
1) Log in to your Volusion Control Panel
2) Enable Volusion’s “Generic API”. You’ll find it under Inventory > Import/Export > Volusion API
3) Once you’ve enabled the API, click the “run” button which can be found in the “Generic/Orders” section.
4) When the action is complete, a new text field will appear beneath the “cancel” and “run” buttons. If you scroll through the text in that field, you will see “EncryptedPassword=”. Your encrypted password is everything you see between that and “&EDI”. Highlight that text and copy it.
5) Paste that copy into the “PASSWORD” field shown here on the back of the widget.
Once this information is entered, the widget will be linked to your Volusion store.
